A couple of weeks back we brought you the news about the 2019 Volkswagen T-Roc being tested somewhere in Europe without wearing any camouflage and now the automaker has officially released the teaser video of its upcoming SUV prior to its debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show.
The Volkswagen T-Roc concept was a three-door SUV, whereas the production model is a five-door vehicle. It will ride on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB architecture, which is also being featured in other vehicles such as VW Golf and VW Atlas. The overall dimensions of the SUV are same as the concept with 164.5-inch length and 72.1-inch width.
Powering the Volkswagen T-Roc will be a four-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG transmission system. The all-wheel drive system will be available as standard. Moreover, similar to the concept, the interior of the production model will have a digital instrument cluster.
The 2019 T-Roc will be officially displayed to the public in September at the Frankfurt Auto Show and will arrive at the dealerships sometime in 2018. It will compete against the likes of Chevrolet Trax, Honda HR-V, Nissan Juke, Mini Countryman and Toyota C-HR.
The automaker has not yet disclosed anything regarding the Middle East debut.
