The 2021 Audi A3 has been introduced with a plug-in hybrid model sporting an updated interior and exterior styling, good amount of power, and 66 km (41 miles) of range.
The new Audi A3 40 TFSI e PHEV carries a1.4L turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating 148 horsepower. The engine is assisted by an 80 kW electric motor to develop a collective output of 210 horsepower (150 kW) and 258.1 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. The power goes to the front wheels through a six-speed S Tronic automatic transmission.
The compact A3 Sportback can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and top out at 227 km/h. The electric range stands at 66 km and 282 mpg. The battery can replenish itself in just over four hours.
Although the battery pack decreases the boot space by 100 liters, you can still carry 280 liters of cargo.
The 2021 Audi A3 Sportback features a wider grille, reshaped headlights, an altered bonnet, and fresh air intakes along with new taillights and bumper at the back. The car gets 16-inch alloys as standard while the 17-inch and 18-inch wheels are optional. The standard facilities comprise of a digital instrument cluster, leather multifunction steering wheel, and a two-zone automatic air conditioning system.
Audi’s Car-to-X software is a part of the deal (will be available later on) allowing the car to communicate with traffic signals, infrastructure, and other Audi cars for present driving conditions.
The 2021 Audi A3 Sportback 40 TFSI e model costs £33,060 ($42,760), which is £7,000 ($9,050) extra compared to the most affordable A3 model.
