Audi has abandoned the A3 hatchback for the U.S. market, so the new model will only be available in sedan body shape, which is now redesigned to look better both inside and out. The exterior of the new 2021 Audi A3 sedan is now sleeker with some alterations behind the C-pillar, while the interior gets a new infotainment system.
The sedan has snappy headlights and a big hexagonal grille, while the rear has the taillight pattern that somehow resembles the Q3 crossover. Inside, the new A3 abandons the pop-up infotainment display and adds a 10.1-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Moreover, it features a 10.3-inch Audi’s signature Virtual Cockpit digital gauge cluster. The 12.3-inch cluster and head-up display are optional.
Audi didn’t provide us the details on the powertrain but we can have a good guess. We are expecting an updated turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch. The performance-oriented S3 and RS3 models will obviously be more powerful.
The 2021 Audi A3 should hit the dealerships before the end of this year if everything goes according to the plan.
