So, the report was true! Hyundai has augmented the 2022 Santa Fe’s appearance by adding a new XRT model in the lineup. While it looks rugged from the outside, it doesn’t have any off-road capability that would make it stand apart in the range. In fact, it doesn’t even come standard with AWD. That is optional for $1,700. The price of the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT starts at $33,485.
Other standard facilities include black 18-inch wheels, side steps, skid plates, and a special front bumper and grille. The mirrors and roof rack get black shade, as well. The XRT is actually the same as the SEL, with the addition of a convenience package.
The power comes from a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter inline-four generating 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft. Unfortunately, Hyundai didn’t pick the turbocharged 2.5L engine for XRT and reserved it for upper variants.
Hyundai also plans to add XRT trim for the 2022 Tucson crossover. It will also be a cosmetic update similar to the Santa Fe. Meanwhile, we look forward to seeing the 2022 Santa Fe XRT on the roads soon.
