About a year ago, Jeep unveiled the extended version of the Grand Cherokee. Named the Grand Cherokee L, the three-row sports utility vehicle is just about to get its second model next year and the automaker has decided to give it a few updated features. The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L will be available with a touchscreen display for the front passenger fixed into the dashboard, just as you get it in the two-row model. The 10.25-inch display will entertain the passenger as well as allow them to use navigation and camera.
That won’t be the only screen the customers will have in the 2022 Grand Cherokee L. The rear occupants will also be able to benefit from two 10.1-inch screens for entertainment purposes, supporting Amazon Fire TV. However, the duo won’t be available at the start, so customers buying the Limited, Overland, or Summit will have to wait a little for it. Both these screens can store 9 GB of data, perfect to download Prime Video content.
For the exterior, the seven-seater SUV will offer some new paints. The Ember paint will be accessible for the Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve. Furthermore, customers can also opt for a new Hydro Blue shade for the Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve. Lastly, we have Midnight Sky shade for the Limited, Overland, Summit, and the Summit Reserve trim levels.
Depending on the model (six-seat or seven-seat), the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee will give buyers options to step up the SUV’s appearance. The Limited Black and Summit High Altitude buyers will get exclusive exterior accents, including a distinct grille styling, shiny black emblems, and an option between 20- or 21-inch alloy wheels polished with shiny black colour. The 20-inchers will be accessible on the Limited, while the bigger wheels will adorn the Summit model.
It has just been a year since Jeep introduced the Grand Cherokee L. These updates will really help boost its appeal in the mid-size SUV market, especially for customers seeking more convenience and entertainment while travelling. The automaker has already started taking orders for the new extended SUV as well as for the standard Grand Cherokee.
The pricing details aren’t available yet but seeing the updates that will surely be a little higher than the outgoing model. For reference, the 2020 Grand Cherokee starts at AED 138,900 in the UAE and tops out at AED 389,900 for the Trackhawk model.
