The 2024 Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing performance sedans are currently on the market, showcasing notable enhancements compared to their predecessors. A significant update in the CT5-V Blackwing model is the inclusion of GM’s Super Cruise driver assistance system, which is accessible in vehicles featuring the 10-speed automatic transmission. This advanced feature enables hands-free driving and facilitates automatic lane changes on specific sections of U.S. roads.
In honour of two decades of Cadillac V-Series models, the CT5-V Blackwing introduces a distinctive front grille header and rocker identification. It also features an exclusive animation on the driver information display. For the upcoming 2024 model year, additional color choices have been introduced. These include Velocity Red, Cyber Yellow Metallic, Coastal Blue Metallic, and Black Diamond Tricoat.
Similarly, the compact CT4-V Blackwing benefits from similar enhancements as its larger counterpart for the 2024 model year, with the exception of Super Cruise availability being omitted.
The car still retains its 3.6-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, which generates an impressive 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. It comes equipped with a standard six-speed manual transmission, and for those who prefer it, there’s also the option of a 10-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle maintains its standard Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 suspension system. Additionally, an optional aero package is available, providing the highest level of downforce ever seen in a V-Series model.
Returning to the CT5-V Blackwing, it proudly stands as the mightiest sedan in Cadillac’s lineage. Beneath its elegant exterior lies a bespoke 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engine, meticulously crafted by skilled hands. This powerhouse generates a remarkable 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. Just like its compact sibling, the CT5-V Blackwing comes equipped with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission as standard, providing an engaging driving experience. For those seeking heightened performance, an optional performance-tuned 10-speed GM Hydra-Matic automatic gearbox is offered at an additional cost.
The starting price for the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is $94,690, including a destination charge of $1,195. As for the 2024 CT4-V Blackwing, its manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) amounts to $62,890, with a destination freight charge of $1,395 included.
