For a normal police department, a luxury vehicle like the Genesis GV80 would stand out, but not in the Dubai Police department. The law enforcement agency has added Genesis’ new posh crossover to its fleet.
The Dubai Police General Command has issued some pictures of the crossover featuring Dubai Police’s white/green livery, as we see on other vehicles in the fleet. Speaking of which, the fleet comprises some of the world’s most exotic cars including a Lamborghini Aventador, a Porsche 918 Spyder, and even a Bugatti Veyron. A Tesla Cybertruck would also be a part of the force as soon as it hit the roads because hey, Dubai Police always want to remain a step ahead.
“We take pride in partnering with Dubai Police in various initiatives that aim at spreading awareness among all segments of society on traffic safety,” stated Suliman ALZaben, director of Genesis UAE. “We hope that the high-tech Genesis GV80 contributes to facilitate Dubai Police’s operations and provide various services to the public.”
The declaration from the Dubai Police General Command doesn’t tell the specs of the luxury crossover. The utility vehicle comes with either a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder generating 300 horsepower (224 kilowatts) or a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 yielding 375 hp (279 kW). Seeing other cars in the Dubai Police fleet, we assume it would have the more powerful option with all-wheel-drive.
