Ford’s recent most popular vehicle, the revived Bronco, will be available for European customers, the company confirms. After the Mustang and Explorer, which are made exclusively for the American market and sold later in Europe, it will be the third modern product from Ford. The new Bronco will hit the European roads before the end of 2023. This is definitely an excellent decision by Ford, but this accompanies bad news.
Sadly, the off-roader will be accessible to European customers in limited numbers, though the company failed to elaborate on this statement. However, the press release did mention that the SUV will be sold only in the left-hand drive European markets in the third quarter of next year. The American automaker showed the rugged Bronco at the 2022 Sofia Motor Show, and that sparked a conversation about its likely introduction in the old continent.
“The Bronco is Ford’s toughest and most versatile off-roader, and the new generation fuses the DNA of the original with the latest terrain-handling technologies and a vast range of accessories to create a new off-road icon,” Matthias Tonn, chief engineer, Import Vehicles at Ford of Europe, said. “Following the huge success of the new Bronco in the US, we are thrilled to be bringing some of the spirit of adventure to our customers in Europe.”
The Blue Oval did not disclose any technical information about the Euro-spec Bronco. The company only mentioned that only the four-door models will be available here, but it failed to mention the variants and prices. Nevertheless, we can safely guess some standard facilities that will likely be a part of the package. Expect the off-road utility vehicle to come equipped with Bang & Olufsen premium audio system with 10 speakers and a subwoofer, a 360-degree camera, and a 12-inch display for infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and so on.
Speaking of specs, Ford reveals some of the offroading equipment for the European model. The Bronco will get a standard locking rear differential and an elective locking front differential and a front anti-roll bar disconnect system. Customers will also be able to select between a two-speed electronic transfer case and a two-speed electromechanical transfer case.
Similar to what the automaker offers in the USA, there will be plenty of accessories to choose from to adorn the off-roader. Some of the options comprise improved lighting systems, a rear tent, roof tent, side awning, roof rails, and reserved carriers for skis, bicycles, and roof boxes.
For more details on the standard equipment, models, and prices, we might have to wait for a long time since the launch isn’t imminent.
