The current fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson has been present in the US market since 2020. Now, indications suggest that the compact SUV is undergoing a refresh for the 2025 model year. Despite its exterior resemblance, subtle alterations to the front grille and skid plates create an illusion of increased width for the Tucson.
Internally, the cabin exhibits a transformation reminiscent of a next-generation model, with a completely revamped dashboard. Drawing inspiration from the Ioniq 5, the Tucson integrates two 12.3-inch screens within a unified housing. Notably, the Hyundai logo on the steering wheel has been substituted with four dots, conveying Morse code for the letter “H.”
The climate adjustment controls have undergone a redesign, featuring a greater emphasis on traditional interfaces. In addition to classic buttons, two rotary knobs with integrated displays catch our attention for the air conditioning, complemented by two silver knobs for volume adjustments and additional functions. The central air vents also appear sleeker, creating the visual effect of a seamlessly extended vent across the dashboard.
The further we examine the control panel, the more alterations become apparent. To illustrate, there’s a noticeable relocation of the gear selector to the steering wheel column. This adjustment enabled Hyundai to reimagine the central console by incorporating an expansive wireless charging pad, two sizable cup holders, and a series of buttons just ahead. We must be examining an upscale variant, judging by the exquisite stitching on the door panels and dashboard, coupled with perforated leather adorning the seats.
However, that’s the extent of Hyundai‘s disclosure at this juncture. Considering the 2024 Tucson has already made its debut in the United States, this enhancement won’t be made available until the 2025 model year.
