New 2024 Kia K9 Luxury Sedan Boasts Exceptional Looks

Kia revealed the second iteration of the K900 at the 2018 New York Auto Show, but it didn’t enjoy a long run in the US, where it was axed after just three years. However, it’s still being sold as the K9 in other markets, notably in South Korea.

Having undergone a significant makeover in 2021, the elegant sedan is now undergoing another round of updates, albeit less substantial this time. The alterations focus mainly on the front grille, which now features horizontal slats instead of the previous V-shaped elements. Additionally, the 2024 K9 boasts newly styled 19-inch wheels and a fresh body color called Pebble Gray. Inside, the luxurious interior offers new themes like Martian Brown or Misty Gray.

A new technology called “Post-AC Dry” has been introduced, designed to eliminate moisture buildup in the air conditioning system to prevent odor formation. Post-AC Dry activates automatically for a 10-minute cycle after the engine has been off for about 30 minutes, effectively drying the ventilation ducts and preventing mold growth. To conserve battery power, a sensor prevents activation when the car battery is low. Furthermore, the feature remains inactive during low outside temperatures and extended periods of AC inactivity.

Updates in the 2024 Kia K9 incorporate a massage feature for the front passenger seat, USB-C ports in both front and rear areas, and the inclusion of a fire safety device. Standard equipment has been enhanced, with higher trim levels offering additional perks that were previously optional.

Kia will maintain sales of its top-tier model with options for rear- and all-wheel drive, equipped with either a turbocharged 3.3-liter or naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V-6 engine. The previous 5.0-liter V-8 NA engine has been discontinued for several years now. Pricing ranges from approximately $43,800 to $64,200.

The K9 is not available in the UAE, but you can get your hands on the K5 and K8.
