The Nissan Juke wasn’t faring well in terms of sales in North America, so the company had to discontinue it in this region and offer a more affordable model, the Nissan Kicks. However, the same is not true for England and Europe where Nissan has introduced the Juke Hybrid. It is available in the UK right now costing at least £27,250, which is around $33,920 at the present exchange rates.

Trim Levels

The new Juke Hybrid is accessible in multiple trim levels with the entry-level N-Connecta £1,730 costlier than its non-hybrid automatic counterpart. At the top of the Juke Hybrid range is Tekna+, which will set you back £30,150.

To honour the electrified powertrain, Nissan also unveiled a special model named Premiere Edition. It will be a limited edition model; only 750 units are planned, each starting at £28,250. The Premiere Edition will be the first in the Hybrid range to hit the dealerships before the end of July.

Features

There will be plenty of optional features for different Juke Hybrid models, according to the trim level. A few of these include 17-inch wheels, a premium Bose audio system with 10 speakers, and a keyless entry. However, Nissan made sure it offers the most desirable features as standard in all Hybrid models. One of such facilities is Nissan e-Pedal, which is convenient for drivers to control their car with only the accelerator pedal.

Powertrain

Speaking of the powertrain, the new Nissan Juke Hybrid boasts a 1.6-litre petrol mill which mates to two electric motors. The petrol engine produces 94 horsepower (69 kilowatts) and it gets assistance from a 49-hp (36-kW) electric motor, 20-hp (15-kW) starter-generator, and a 1.2-kWh battery pack.

The Hybrid powertrain is intelligent enough to adjust between series, parallel, and series-parallel hybrid modes. Surprisingly, Nissan claims they have seen the Juke Hybrid deliver up to 80 per cent electric-only propulsion in the city, even with this trivial 1.2-kWh battery.

Availability

Nissan is taking orders for the new Juke Hybrid in the UK, Germany, Spain, and other nations in the Old Continent. The customer deliveries will commence by the end of this summer.
