Refreshed 2023 Kia Soul Gets Its Price Tags, Starting At $21,085

The South Korean automaker Kia revealed the streamlined range of Soul for the new model year in May 2022. While we got to know all the specifications at that time, the company didn’t share the pricing details. That has changed recently as the 2023 Kia Soul gets its pricing tags. The new model comes with an increased price, starting at $21,085 (all tags encompass the $1,295 destination fee) for the base Soul LX variant.

The 2023 Soul will hit the showrooms soon in four variants – LX, S, GT-Line, and EX. The S is the second in the range, costing $23,585. The GT-Line bumps the price up to $25,685. The range-topping EX variant goes for $25,385.

Comparing the new pricing with the 2022 Soul, the base variant is $600 costlier. Besides, the destination charge also increases by $50; the new fee starts from $1,175. Analyzing further, the base 2021 Soul model with a manual transmission went for $17,490 before the $1,120 destination fee. Including the destination charge, the reach-home price was $18,610.

The automaker is continuously escalating the prices of the Soul while getting rid of some choices and features. The year 2021 saw the removal of a few shades from the range and alterations in every model’s content offerings. 2022 witnessed the elimination of the manual transmission from the range, and obviously, the auto entry-level version raised the base price of the small crossover.

The Soul is currently enjoying its third-generation party, which officially hit the showrooms as a 2020 model year. If we talk about the sales numbers, they started declining in 2015 and couldn’t improve much over the years. However, the sales picked up a little in 2021 but again dropped in 2022. The company moved 75,000 units in 2021 while this year only 22,500 examples of Soul changed destinations. It shows a remarkable decrease in sales numbers.

The new 2023 Kia Soul should hit the showrooms anytime in summer; the exact date is not yet revealed. Mind it, the new Soul comes with a reduced lineup as the automaker killed the X-Line and Turbo models. Nevertheless, the features they had are being spread over the other variants.

Expect the new Soul to hit the roads using a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine creating 147 horsepower (109 kilowatts) and 132 pound-feet (178 newton-meters) of torque.
