Just as you think Toyota’s raised-up Crown hit peak oddity, along comes the Landscape. This new special edition dubbed the Crown Crossover in Japan, caters to nature enthusiasts, boasting a 1.0-inch lift for tackling rugged terrain.

Toyota decks out the Crown Crossover Landscape with 18-inch two-tone wheels, sporting 245/60 R18 all-terrain tires, complete with eye-catching red mud flaps. Matte-finished extra cladding around the wheel arches adds flair, while hand-painted over-fenders enhance the look. Not forgetting the rear, which now features a towing hitch capable of hauling up to 1,653 pounds.

The special edition model sports an Urban Khaki exterior with dark accents and features an additional fog light positioned near the rear license plate. For added convenience, the roof rack is offered optionally and can be fitted by authorized dealers. Inside, Toyota adorns the Crown Crossover Landscape with a sleek black trim and includes the model’s name laser-engraved on the passenger side of the dashboard.

Exclusive with all-wheel drive and the 2.4-liter hybrid engine, this elevated sedan is priced at around $45,300 in its home market. Alongside the Crown Crossover, there are three other domestically released models under the Crown badge: the compact Crown Sport crossover, a larger Crown Estate (set to debut in the US as the Crown Signia SUV), and the classic Crown sedan.
