The 2018 Mazda CX-9 is arriving at the dealerships in North America this month with a number of new upgrades, which bring a small price increase. The ongoing model is highly safe to drive as accredited by IIHS.
For starters, Mazda has increased the number of standard facilities, and every model will now feature automatic low-speed emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. It is also equipped with the automaker’s latest G-Vectoring system that significantly improves the driving dynamics of the crossover.
The 2018 CX-9 will be offered in four trim levels namely – Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, and Signature. The Sport trim boasts leather seating, MAZDA CONNECTTM infotainment with a 7-inch display, Bluetooth connectivity, 18-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights and taillights. The new Sport Package adds auto on/off headlights, High Beam Control, Lane Departure Warning, Lane-Keep Assist, Smart Brake Support, rain-sensing wipers, heated front seats and Mazda Radar Cruise Control. The Sport trim starts at $32,130, while the i-ACTIV All-Wheel Drive model costs $33,930.
The mid-range Touring grade encompasses auto-dimming rearview mirror with built-in Homelink garage door opener, power liftgate, key-less entry and an 8-inch touch display infotainment. It is priced from $34,960, while the all-wheel drive model is priced at $36,760.
The Grand-Touring trim offers 20-inch wheels, Adaptive Front-lighting System, aluminum interior trim, heads-up display, power seats with memory function, heated steering wheel, and second-row seats.
The range-topping Signature trim features Nappa leather seats, LED signature grille and LED interior lighting. It is only available in all-wheel drive and costs $44,315.
Powering the 2018 Mazda CX-9 is a turbocharged SKYACTIV 2.5T engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission system.
